Can I get rid of this disease by exercising?

Type 2 diabetes is a preventable disease. Although there is a genetic background, it is possible to prevent type 2 diabetes and eliminate risk factors.

When you realize that you have type 2 diabetes, this disease has already attacked your vascular system.

In this disease, getting fat in the central part of the trunk, deranged blood lipids, impaired coagulation mechanisms, hypertension and coronary artery disease are common conditions.

Benefits of exercise:

• losing weight

• difficulty in gaining  weight

• The abdominal fat begins to disappear

Body fat distribution improves

Hypertension control becomes easier

• Blood lipid levels improve, LDL decreases, HDL increases

• General well-being increases

• Quality of life increases

Blood sugar drops

• Insulin sensitivity increases

• No need for or reduced use of diabetics

Insulin levels improve with basal and after meals

When you exercise, your muscles start consuming 20 times more sugar.Regular and moderate physical activity leads to all these benefits. As soon as you are suspected or diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, you can continue your life without being affected by this disease with exercise and diet control.

If you are using insulin or sulfonyl type sugar medication, you should measure blood glucose frequently during or after exercise in case of hypoglycemia, ie excessive blood sugar drop. Hypoglycemia can occur for up to 24 hours after exercise.
